ABOUT US

Circle of Swords opened her doors in October 2016 by Worcestershire born and bred husband and wife, Loz and Katie. We took the keys to a very rundown sandwich shop in April that year and poured our souls into building the studio ourselves (with the help of a few close friends!) over several months.

We’re home to 8 artists who cover a range of Japanese, traditional, fineline & realism. See more about who works at the studio here.

We took our name from the Arthurian legend of the round table and the image of the swords being placed upon it. We feel that, much like Camelot, tattooing is something that should be protected and defended. We live inside a magical industry and we, as artists, are responsible for it. The sword represents a duty, an oath, but it’s also a privalige to carry one. In life and business there are a lot of easy routes, quick bucks to be made and it’s very easy to move on. At Circle of Swords we strive to take the path of right, even if sometimes it may be a little slower and sometimes more difficult. It’s just Good Honest Tattooing at the end of the day, and that’s what we stand for.

On the ground floor you’ll find our reception area which we’ve made into a very cosy and welcoming environment with couches, soft furnishings, plants and lots of objet d’arte inhabiting all of her nooks and crevices, gilded with paintings from artists and friends - you’ll always find something new on the walls. Downstairs, in the studio, we have clear lighting, bold contrasts and hard edges where we’ve carried the character through but hardened her with the sterility required to crush those pesky germs.

We’re pleased to host regular guest artists, giving Worcester the opportunity to be tattooed by some of the most interesting and talented artists from around the world. When we aren’t hosting, we love to take part in some of the best tattoo conventions around the UK, making new friends to bring back to Worcester!

We love to hold paint nights, all are welcome - you don’t have to be into tattoos to come and create art with us, we love to meet and create with everyone! Occasionally, we even hold the odd gig or two in the studio and have become a regular venue for The Worcester Music Festival.

Our roots are in Worcester and we’re passionate about tattooing.

See you in the studio soon!
