FAQ

How do I book a tattoo?

You can pop down and see us anytime you like or fill out our online booking form. We'll need your general idea, size and where you're thinking of having it just to get going. If proceeding with a booking, you will be asked to leave a deposit reflective of the time booked out, which is usually between £30 for smaller work and £100 for larger work.

What happens to my deposit if I don't turn up for my appointment or cancel last minute?

Deposits are non-refundable. You must let your artist or the studio know within 72hrs of your appointment in order to rebook your appointment without losing your deposit.

How much do you charge?

Our rates are based on £80 an hour or £400 - £500 for a full day sitting. Our minimum charge is £50 for smaller scale work. That said, please don't get a tattoo based on price. There's always going to be someone doing it cheaper and sooner but you should probably question why. Please note we only accept cash.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Get a good nights sleep, freshen up with a shower and eat a good hearty meal before you arrive, it's important to keep your blood sugar levels up. The worst thing you can do is drink alcohol the night before, this thins the blood meaning you'll bleed more and it will be an all round sucky experience for you and your artist. Bring snacks, a drink and anything you feel might help you getting tattooed. We ask that you don't listen to your phone out loud, please bring earphones if you intend on doing that.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Your artist is going to need full and easy access to the area you're getting tattooed, so a little prior planning is required on your part. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in to your appointment but if you feel this won’t be appropriate to get tattooed in, you can bring a change of clothes with you too - don't feel like you have to wear a pair of shorts to your appointment in the dead of winter! For sternum tattoos (underboob) we offer large plasters that you'll be given to apply yourself. Robes are a great choice for getting tattooed in, quick and easy to throw over yourself for breaks without having to re-dress mid tattoo. Please bear in mind that tattooing can be a messy business, so we ask that you don't wear anything you'd be upset by getting ink on.

How is my privacy looked after during my appointment?

We operate in an open plan studio with up to 5 artists working at any one time and are serious about providing a safe space for being tattooed in. If your tattoo is in a personal place, or you just want a bit of anonymity, we have the option of using privacy screens. You will be able to change behind the screens or in our bathroom, but please be aware this is on the ground floor where the recpetion area is also located. You may wish to bring something to throw over, such as a bathrobe or loose shirt. If your tattoo requires the removal of a bra (underboob tattoos for example) you will be offered large plasters to apply yourself before the stencil is applied.

Do you offer finance?

No we don't. We're aware this is becoming an increasingly popular option, particularly amongst the chain tattoo shops that are appearing around Worcester, but we feel strongly that nobody should be putting themselves in any kind of finacial disadvantage for a tattoo. We're not going anywhere, we'll be here when it's the right time for you.

Can you cover my tattoo?

It totally depends on your exisiting tattoo and how flexible you can be with what we cover it with. A cover-up can only work if you're prepared to go bigger than the one you're looking to cover, and for that we need free (untattooed) skin around the exisiting piece. What will also help aid us in making a good cover up is you being open to going quite bold and colourful.

This is quite a large and extreme versions, but check out this progress video for an example of how we can cover a tattoo: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CT4_mxEoMel/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

How long will my tattoo take to heal?

Smaller, fine line pieces will take a matter of a few days to heal but larger scale pieces will take longer. In around 2 weeks you should notice any scabbing or dryness go, this is called surface healing. Expect up to 6 weeks to be completely healed. The better you look after your tattoo and yourself, the quicker your tattoo will heal.

How do I care for my tattoo?

Excellent question. Please take a look at our aftercare advice.

Will I need to bring ID?

Yes, we will need photographic ID to confirm you are 18 or over and we will ask to take a copy for our records. This includes passport, drivers or provisional license, Military ID or cards with a PASS logo such as Citizen Card . We do not accept birth certificates or Facebook as ID. If you’ve been tattooed by us before, we won’t need to see your ID again. We will ask to take a photocopy of your ID to attach to your consent form

Do you do walk ins?

Although we don't have a dedicated artist to do walk ins, we might have some space, so it's always worth asking!

Where are you based?

We're located in the centre of Worcester, just a 5 minute walk from Foregate train station and a couple of minutes from the nearest bus stop. You'll find us a few doors down from Bushwackers, opposite The Cabin and Halifax, on the other side of us is Worcester Wargames. If you still can't find us, have a look on Google maps.

Do you have parking?

Unfortunately not. The nearest parking to us is just a couple of minutes walk, on the Cornmarket, but it's often full. We recommend parking at St Martins Gate which is just a 5 minute walk and the cheapest option in Worcester.
